thailand was a blast.

not because i bought damn a lot of shoppings, but rather because ive walked for the longest hours ev-a!
i actually feel sorry for my legs for the first time e-va, and i mean the WHOLE LEG.hmmph.
yesss, the whole journey was simply crazy. from noise to crowds. from cheaps to expensives. from people to animals. from singapore to thailand. like i could only start breathing NOW. woah, and i feel GREAT to be home. its kinda nice to take a break from everyone everything here, and feel i can start all over again after being energised. and yessss, lifes probably not that simple but thats what i'll like to believe in, so shhhhhhhhhhhh... till then.

4 days in thai would have been much better if i had experience with their markets and pricings actually. a few things i had to mention before i just explode. firstly the budget terminal is actually really quite budget, and yesssss, i took tiger airways, for the cheaps of cos. but i was quite pretty amazed about the fact they have actually adopted the fingerprinting recognition thingy, though i must say MANy people needed help with those brainless machines. ha. but anyway, singaporeans are reaallllllllly terribbbbbbbbbly KIASU with a really big K. given the fact that tiger airways is FREE SEATING, u can imagine the scene at the "gate".

a whole bunch of singaporeans were actually waiting before the TV screeen for the "gate ?" to be flashed beside TR112 and preparing to run towards that gate ?, before my family made out what was going on, i was actually walking towards that crowd at that TV when SUDDENLY, the whole bunch ran towards me, seriously, i really did felt as if i was going to be trampled by ELEPHANTS. HAH, and when i saw it was GATE 9(which i supposed those peeps saw before me), i fingered the gesture towards my family, and before i knew what was going on? everybody just disappeared in front of me, dashing for those gates. and here i was, trying to run to catch up, and yesssssssssssssssss people actually RUN to board the plane. like SERIOUSLY RUN. like MARATHON.

hilarious.and so i managed to ride on my fam's speed and be among the first to board.oh wells. i could only say it was indeed an experience. kudos to budget terminal huh.

m i jinxed or what. we arrived at the super crowded bangkok international airport to realise we couldnt find the person who was supposed to pick us up to the hotel. chaos is what i would describe that situation. 15 minutes passed, half an hour passed, an hour passed, before we gave up hunting for that PERSON, and instead we tried to talk to the person at the info counter to make an announcement for us. as u would have expected, we were speaking god knows what language. thai+eng+chi+hokkien+bfsdfabvbabfbfjabfjadsbfjdsb just to get one simple message across. and so we found THAT man and realised a bus full of SINGAPOREAN ppl have been waiting for us on the bus for the past one hour. as u would have expected AGAIN, stares were what we got the first step we took in thai. nothing but stares, at least its free afterall. hmppphh.

by the time we reached the hotel, it was past dinner time, and after dinner, i simply would just want to give the A-GUA show a miss, but heres a peek of what my sis and my parents "enjoyed".

2nd day started with halfday tour at wat ah run temple, floating market, some gem factory, and CHATUCHAK market! followed by dinner at somboon seafood(so called best in thai) and finally patpong night market, aka the red light district.
So i realised a few hours at chatuchak is reaally not enough at all. and its a weekend market and it ends at 6! damn. so i really didnt get a lot of stuffs as i would have expected afterall. patpong was a bad experience cause the vendors are really FIERCE, especially when u bargain. hah. i would have gotten killed if i hadnt got away quick.

3rd day started with pratunam market, which was like a whole array of "this fashion" alike stores, and nothing more but HEAT. then off we went to the shopping centres which was nothing but xpensives, n so we decided to take their MRT to chinatown, after thai+eng+chi+hokkien+jfjsbvjbavbdjbjadf with the MRT person to get small change to buy tickets, we decided the TAXI was a better cheaper choice afterall. hah! so we carried all our small change to get a cab, damn KUKU!haha headed to chinatown which was really quite an atmosphere since it was CNY anyway. so, heres some pics.

we ended 3rd day which was also the last day witth dinner at steakhouse and then jalan jalan at the suan lum night market. after which we rushed off to patpong again to get some aber tees which i did not manage to get them before for some PPL.(ahem)

@suan lum night market

and thats it. flew back early in the morning today, went to BAI NIAN after we touch down and im dead beat. $140 spent ONLY for quite an amoount of stuffs, not realy much but passable given my tight planned schedule to cover everywhere in bangkok. and for a mere $5, you shld really try their tuk-tuk, a kind of taxi which is really damn supersonic fast and gives me goosebumps whenever i get onto them, really quite a thrilling experience.

only one regret - if only i could spend more time in chatuchak, oh wells. NEXT TIME.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

trekking in the memories was where ive been
and now
i shld dash ahead
just like u did

before i really disappear in ur life
or i lose myself
