So i finally moved in, although the house is pretty much empty without the furnitures that are supposed to come ages ago, at least we have a place i can call my own. at least i can now say "lets go home".
the past week in Montreal hasnt really been much of being a tourist, going around snapping at stuffs that awed me. The week was spent however pretty fulfilling, with us running around looking for houses frantically. The idea of staying in that hotel really scares us to hell, turns out that the hotel is located in the MOST dangerous area in Montreal, full of prostitutes and drug dealers, although we didnt see any of that, the idea of it itself is frightening itself.

and our small room

and heres Adam, he really helped us a lot and is the first Quecbecoise I feel aquainted to, well and he said, if we need anything, just give him a call, *touched*
--------------------------------
Ohe search for the apartments werent really fruitful, being that fact that most of them are looking for 1 year tenants, and most of them do not provide furnitures - the exact 2 things that are opposite of what we need. but along the way, we saw many many houses..

we would love to live in these kindof houses, have a beautiful balcony that we can chill out but owells, we can only envy :(:(:(
basically Montreal-ers likes to be late, they are never never on time, their 5 minutes is like 1 hour and 1 hour is like forever. So we wasted quite abit of time waiting waiting waiting, what else can we do besides ...

so heres Amily Ong, the girl im gonna stick with for the rest of my adventure here, and she, likes to take pictures, MANY pictures, which is goooood actually, hopefully she'll keep snapping her thing at me :)
Finally finally, we viewed many houses, got different prices, felt really suicidal, and finally decided on one apartment that we both liked it. Not the cheapest, not really the kind of house we wanted to be in, but given what we have, we are satisfied enough. and so we moved!

and i shall not disclose any pictures of the house just yet, wait till everything is in and personalised, then u shall see how my first room, my first apartment looks like :)
-------------------------
One notable mention here is how we "coincidentally" met the gay pride parade as well as all the celebration. WELL, I inverted coincidentally because we did not coincidentally met them, basically we were living at the borders of gay village where all the happenings are, i dont know how we can miss the celebration the moment we step out of the hotel, because it was like just right there.

Okay so basically the celebration was held at a nearby park where previously used to be a pretty interesting site i thought, they have human size chess pieces where random strangers would just play with each other.

and so the park was transformed to this!

its basically a sea of half naked gay guys dancing around

indeed an eye opener for us, and we felt so uncomfortable the whole time we were there, well at least we could pretend we were lesbians, hahaha.
-----------------------------
okay that aside, we spent the next few days stocking up essentials for our new house, and oh my god, i dont know how much i spent lah.

How can we not stop by IKEA for household products?!

Well their famous meatballs for lunch, duh right :0

Montreal's IKEA is damn out of the place, its so near the airport theres constantly flights that passes by, so ULUfied lah, my god.

preparing to shop

happy and satisfied
