so we rented a car and drove 1 hr away from Montreal to Mount Bromont..
we initially wanted to go Mount Tremblant which was much higher and popular..but everybody kinda advised against it which I finally knew why after skiing haha..it really doesnt matter cause most beginners just get stuck at the ski school slope which is pathetic when u look at it but horrendous when u try skiing on it haha! you can only salivate at those high advanced ski slopes which i think will take me probably 10 years to go up

Ski Bromont!
so we went night skiing the 1st day cause we reached at 3pm,
and basically sun sets at 4pm so nightfall already reached when we arrived
night skiing is FUN even though we couldnt ski
kind hansheng patiently taught us basics
so by the end of the night
we could already managed to go down the ski school slope without falling
which im damn proud lah haha
night skiing photos not in my cam though, next time :)
2nd day - contemplated whether ski lessons were still needed but we went ahead with it cause the rest of us still barely could make it down a proper looking slope without falling unglam-ly
so apparantly the coach thought we were super talented cause we told him we didnt ski before which technically is partially true lah haha!
instead of staying on the ski school slope
he actually brought us up to the beginner slope!
O M G
i seriously thought i was just going to fall down
after the night ski the previous night
i seriously did not think i was ever going to be able to take a ski lift up ANY slope
i thought i was going to be stuck at the pathetic ski school slope with all the kids
yes KIDS
kids who dont tumble down like we do
haah! so we made it down the slope
basically u have to learn turning to make it down without falling
and keep skiing in the S shape or it'll be too fast u'll roll down because of the steepness
turning was horrifying for my legs
staying on those freaking ski boots was hard enough
not to mention turning!
some selected photos!

i was so happy i could take the ski life
cause apparantly NOBODY takes it down
the only way to come down the slope is to ski
i actually saw beginners walking down the slope slowly cause they couldnt ski down without rolling down haha!

zw and his korean friend (Jae-Hee)

@ the starting point

in the middle where the view is superb
behind is those advance ski slopes i was talking about which i think i'll probably need 10 years to get up haha! dont the lights look awesome???

u actually have to do this V shape braking thingy to stand still on the slope or you'll just slip down and probably fall hah!

and when u fall.. take a pic haha! pretend u enjoy the fall - poise my friends :)

one more one more :):)
i love skiing SO MUCH, if only we could do it in singapore

2 days is so not enough!
so we returned to montreal on the 21st greeted by tonnes of snow and being the 1st day of official Winter, it cant stop snowing and the wind cant stop coming :)
i have no idea whether thats good or bad but its certainly freezing...

theres this much snow that drowns all the benches and
all the tables and stones and everything in town :)
which is a real beauty btw
winter does feel different
heres one more pic taken when we went church crawling yesterday
